In the spirit of the Lunar New Year, IOI City Mall together with IOI Properties, Putrajaya Marriott Hotel, Palm Gardens Hotel and Palm Garden Golf Club gave back to 100 senior folk, special needs guests and their caretakers.

The guests from Rumah Victory (Puchong), House of Joy (Puchong), Sisters Of The Poor (Cheras) and Persatuan Rumah Amal Murni (Kajang) were treated to a sumptuous reunion dinner.

The reunion dinner called Under the Stars was held at the West Garden Piazza of the mall. It featured salmon yee sang and other Chinese New Year favourites specially prepared by Putrajaya Marriott Hotel.

To celebrate this auspicious Lunar New Year and the festive spirit of togetherness, the evening commenced with the tossing of the yee sang with all guests.

“It brings us great joy to see the many smiles and hear the laughter of our senior friends this wonderful evening.

“Our joint effort is to show love and appreciation for our seniors and special needs guests and that they are valued and not forgotten,” said IOI City Mall general manager Chris Chong.

The guests were also entertained by the Kwong Ngai Lion Dance Troupe, which showcased their spectacular acrobatic LED lion dance performances featuring eight colourful lions.

Earlier during the day, the senior folk and the special needs guests shopped for New Year outfits generously sponsored by Good2U at their outlet in Putrajaya and received goodie bags and ang pow sponsored by Giordano, Cotton On, Suitable, Caring Pharmacy, HomePro, Tesco and IOI City Mall.
